The Community Arts Project will offer more than 45 summer camps this year, with a newly-added Hunger Games-themed camp that includes art and games inspired by the popular book and movie. Also, CAP’s spring classes begin this week, and the next nightCAP for adults is Thursday. Read below for details.
HUNGER GAMES CAMP
The Hunger Games camp is for children ages 9 to 14 and runs from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. July 23-27.
Some camps are already full and others are near-full, according to CAP leaders, so interested families should register now. Click here to register.
SPRING CLASSES
Also, several of CAP’s 4-week classes begin this week, including printmaking and watercolor classes for adults, and Intro to Sketching for youth ages 7-11. Click here to register for those classes.
NIGHTCAPS
In addition to CAP’s class and camp offerings, the group offers “NightCAPs” for adults on select Thursdays. NightCAPs offer groups of friends the chance to make art together. CAP provides supplies, nsporation and instructions, and attendees are invited to bring snacks or beverages to share.
The next two NightCAPS are April 26 and May 5 from 7-9 p.m, and cost Just $35 per person or $30 for Cornelius residents. Click here to register.
